ITINERARY (B-Breakfast, L-Lunch)
Day One – Launceston, Hobart, Port Arthur – L Pick up from your Hotel at about 08:30 then, drive via the Heritage Highway to the
historic Midland towns of Ross (famous for its carved stone bridge) and Oatlands (with many fine colonial stone cottages).
Arrive in Hobart and drive to the top of Mt Wellington (1270m) for spectacular views in all directions. After a short drive
in the city, head to the Tasman Peninsula for more spectacular coastline of Tasman National Park and its sea cliffs from the
lookout. Next, see the nature’s wonders – the Blow Hole, Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen. Overnight Port
Arthur
Day Two – Port Arthur, East Coast, Bicheno –
B/L Visit Port Arthur Historical Site for a guided walking
tour and browse at the site to learn about convicts history of Tasmania; then a short visit to a boutique chocolate factory
“Federation Chocolates” before leaving the Tasman Peninsula for the East Coast. Next is Swansea – a beautiful
East Coast town.At Freycinet National Park view famous Wineglass Bay from Tourville Cape Lookout. The tour makes
a brief stop at Freycinet Marine Farm if you fancy freshly picked oysters and steamed mussels (own expense), arrive in
Bicheno. An optional penguin tour is available in the evening. Overnight at Nubeena/Bicheno
Day Three – Bicheno, St Helens, Launceston – B/L See the amazing Blow Hole at the rocky coastline of Bicheno. Visit a multi-award winning East Coast wildlife.
See the granite-rock coastline of the Bay of Fire and one of the Tasmania’s best beaches at Binalong Bay. Drive towards
Launceston via Scottsdale. On the way, see magnificent St Columba Falls (90m), carved memorial trees at Legerwood. Arrive
in Launceston about 17:30. We drop you off at your CBD Hotel or at the Launceston Travel and Information Centre.
