Who we are: 

 

Fun Tassie Tours started as a family business in April 2005. It specialises in small group tours (maximum of 7 or 11 persons) and mainly caters for families, couples, friends and individual travellers. We have been successfully operating last three years; and the business is growing constantly. 

 

Fun Tassie Tours is accredited by the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania, so it is committed to quality assurance and customer service. Accreditation has been periodically reviewed by the Tourism Council as well as by the Department of Transport to assure service quality and vehicle safety.Accreditation logo sticker on the vehicle must indicate the current year to show that it is up-to-date.

Tours we offer:

 

Mainly extended tours...Extended tours are packaged for 3-day and 6-day tours departing from Hobart and Launceston to most popular destinations and include some suprise locations that's why we call our tours "plus" , and day tours run only from Launceston.

 

In addition, during the tour season of September 2008 - April 2009, we will offer 2 day,5 day and 8 day tours to give more options to choose. 

 

We take advantage of smaller all terrain passenger vans to go to some locations that big coaches can not. So, our itineraries include more variety of places than most other tour businesses.

 

Private charters customised to your needs can also be arranged. 

Accommodation we use: 

 

Each extended tour includes 3 ½* motels with en-suite rooms and

self-contained cottages.

 

Hostel accommodation can also be arranged if required (lower cost) . Upgrade to a spa (jacuzzi) cottage or rustic all-wood cabins at Cadle Mt is possible.

Vehicle we use:

 

Tours usually are conducted using 4WD passenger vans with reclining seats,seat belts and dual air conditioners that suitable for extended tours.Their capacity is 7 passengers plus a driver/guide. The luggage is carried in a securely locked waterproof trailer, not sacrificing space for comfort.The vehicles are most suitable for small group tours, all weather conditions and roads.

 

Occasionally, we use late model 12 seater Toyota Commuter buses (2WD) with dual airconditioner and comfort when the number of passengers is between 8 and 11.

Departure and Arrival Cities:

 

Fun Tassie Tours designs its tours to give you flexibility in your arrival and return flights. We are based in Launceston, but you can commence the 6 day tour (Tasmania In Circle Tour) either from Launceston or Hobart and ends in Hobart. This way you have the opportunity to select the best possible flight connections and fare from the mainland to Tassie.Please check each tour's start and end location. 

Price Inclusion:

 

Tour price includes all entry fees (national parks,attractions), accommodation, breakfast and lunch, Tasmanian spring water during the tour, pick up and drop off from/to hotels and services of a tour guide.We do not have any additional surcharge unless indicated as optional in the itinerary..
